Mandatory Water Restrictions Lifted

Due to recent heavy rainfall and the Sheppard Myers Reservoir being back at full capacity, the Borough of Hanover announced on February 5, 2024 that the mandatory water use restrictions are now downgraded to "voluntary water conservation" measures. Your collective efforts since November have played a crucial role in reducing overall water usage, both by domestic and commercial users, especially in the month of January.
Pennsylvania is still in a Drought Watch, so we kindly ask for your continued cooperation in practicing voluntary conservation measures including taking shorter showers, running full loads of dishes and laundry, and looking for leaking pipes or toilets. Your patience and understanding are immensely appreciated as we work together to ensure a sustainable water future for our community. For more information contact the Borough of Hanover at 717-637-3877.
